Pakistani military air strikes kill 27 militants

The Pakistani Air Force launched air strikes against suspected militants in the Khyber Agency on Thursday, killing at least 27 people and injuring 18.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan, April 24 (UPI) -- The Pakistani military launched airstrikes on Thursday against suspected militants in the Khyber Agency.

The airstrikes began early Thursday and continued through the afternoon.

According to the military, at least 27 militants were killed and 18 injured in the northern tribal area.

The targeted militants are suspected of involvement in bombings in both Islamabad and Peshawar.
