BELFAST, Northern Ireland, April 10 (UPI) -- The Police Service of Northern Ireland charged 43-year-old Seamus Daly on Thursday with 29 counts of murder stemming from a 1998 deadly car bombing in Omagh, County Tyrone.
Daly, who has denied involvement in the Real Irish Republican Army attack, was arrested by Serious Crime Branch detectives on Monday.

"He faces 29 murder charges relating to the blast on 15 August 1998, two charges in relation to the Omagh explosion, and two charges in relation to an attempted explosion in Lisburn in April 1998 -- a total of 33 charges," reported the police.
He is set to appear in court on Friday morning.
