Russian troops seized the Ukrainian naval base in the port city of Feodosia on the Crimean peninsula Monday.
Eighty Ukrainian military personnel are being held in the compound and two injured servicemen have been taken away by helicopter. Russian troops also stormed a Ukrainian air force base Saturday using armored personnel carriers to gain access, leaving one person injured.

The Ukrainian government announced an official military withdrawal Monday.
The Ukrainian government in Kiev has been trying to form a plan to evacuate the thousands of Ukrainian troops and their families from the Crimean region but have faced difficulty as they are now surrounded by Russian military.
