FALLUJAH, Iraq, March 20 (UPI) -- Violent clashes between security forces and militants across Iraq left 37 people dead and at least 40 others wounded, officials said.
The clashes took place throughout the country on Wednesday, al-Bawaba reported.

In the deadliest incident, 15 people were killed and 40 injured in and around Fallujah in Anbar Province, authorities said.
Twenty-two people were killed elsewhere in the country, including four police officers killed north of the capital, Baghdad.
Security forces in Anbar province have been battling militants since Dec. 30, when the army removed an anti-government protest camp in Ramadi.
