Chinese court case load increases

BEIJING, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Chinese courts handled more than 13.3 million cases in 2013, an increase from the previous year, the government said.

The court load increased by 6.8 percent last year, from 2012, the official Xinhua News Agency reported Saturday.

Of the 13.37 million cases nationwide, 12.94 million were resolved, including 1,960 cases that had lingered for three or more years.
