Three dead, 15 injured as explosion derails Pakistani express train

KARACHI, Pakistan, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- An explosion aboard an express train bound for Karachi, Pakistan, killed three passengers Friday and injured at least 15 more, authorities said.

The blast, in the Rajanpur district of Punjab, caused four cars on the Khushhal Express from Peshawar to derail, Dawn News reported.

Victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The cause of the blast was not immediately determined.
