YAKUTSK, Russia, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- A man dressed as Santa Claus who had threatened two partygoers with a knife was found dead in the Russian city of Yakutsk, investigators said Monday.
The man had been at a holiday party at a house and after making the threats was subdued by others, RIA Novosti reported.

His hands and feet were tied with rope, his girlfriend tied her scarf around his mouth to stop him from yelling and he was left outside, investigators said.
The girlfriend escorted the guests out of the house and when she returned to check on her boyfriend she found him dead, police said.
Investigators were trying to establish the cause of death.
