ISAF soldier killed by roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- A coalition soldier was killed by a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan, NATO's International Security Assistance Force said.

The ISAF statement did not include other details about the attack that occurred Wednesday, Khaama Press reported.

At least 148 NATO service members, including 118 U.S. troops, eight British troops and 22 soldiers from the other NATO member countries have been killed in Afghanistan so far this year, Khaama Press said.

Icasualties.org, which tracks NATO troop casualties in Afghanistan, reported at least 402 NATO service members died in 2012.
