Wreckage of missing airliner found in Mozambique, all 33 aboard dead

MAPUTO, Mozambique, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Searchers Saturday found the wreckage of a Mozambique Airlines plane that crashed in a remote area of the country, killing all 33 onboard, authorities said.

The airliner crashed Friday near the Namibia border on a flight from Maputo to Luanda, Angola.

The crash site was located in a brushy area of the Bwabwata National Park, Voice of America said.

The plane carried 27 passengers, including 19 citizens of Mozambique and Angola. Five victims were from Portugal. The others were from China, France and Brazil.

Authorities said the cause of the crash was not yet known.
