Patricia P. Hernandez, a spokeswoman for energy company EPSA, said in a statement Tuesday the company was "analyzing the possible alternatives to offer to supply at least the health agencies and security. EPSA is working in coordination with the authorities to initiate technical operations, aimed at restoring the service once it has secured the area."

FARC, or Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, has been held responsible by authorities for attacks on more than a dozen electrical towers in the region in the past several weeks.
