PARIS, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Former French president Jacques Chirac appeared physically weak when he made an appearance at a awards ceremony in Paris, France 24 reported Friday.

He was applauded as he slowly entered the auditorium of the Quai Branly anthropology museum where a foundation bearing his name was to hand out an annual prize for conflict resolution.
