DawnNews said the strike in Tal town in Hangu district in militant violence-wracked Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province killed five people and injured four more.

It was the first such drone strike after the Nov. 1 attack that killed Hakimullah Mehsud, leader of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, the Pakistani militant group affiliated with al-Qaida but different from the Afghan Taliban. Pakistan is seeking to open talks with the group.
