SINJIL, West Bank, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Five Palestinians suffered smoke inhalation northeast of Ramallah where a home was set afire early Thursday in an apparent "price tag" attack, officials said.

The incident in Sinjil occurred before dawn in what Israeli police officials suspect was a "price tag" attack because the words "Regards from Eden, Revenge" were sprayed on an exterior wall.

The words refer to Eden Atias, 19, the Israeli soldier fatally stabbed on a bus in Afula by a 16-year-old Palestinian Wednesday, Haaretz said.

The five Palestinians were treated at a hospital for smoke inhalation, the newspaper said.

The Israeli army issued a statement condemning the attack saying the incident "distracts the attention of security forces from their main mission, which is to combat terrorism, and undermines the relative security in the area."

"Price tag" refers to acts of violence by extremist Jewish groups against Palestinian property and, in some cases, Israeli security forces.
