TRIPOLI, Libya, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- A Libyan court has filed charges against 20 ex-officials linked to former leader Moammar Gadhafi for their roles in suppressing and killing protesters in 2011.

Among those charged is one of Gadhafi's sons, Saif al-Islam, and former intelligence chief Abdullah al-Senussi, both of whom have been indicted by the International Criminal Court for alleged war crimes, the BBC reported.
