CAIRO, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- The Cairo Criminal Court has postponed the retrial of ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, whose conviction was overturned on procedural errors.
The trials of Mubarak's two sons and the former interior minister Habib el-Adly have also been postponed and are now due to start Nov. 16.
The court's ruling Monday followed closed-door sessions in which former Egyptian officials testified about Mubarak's alleged crimes, Ahram Online reported.
In 2012, Mubarak and el-Adly were sentenced to life in prison for the killing of protesters during a 2011 uprising that led to the former president's removal.
The verdict was then overturned in 2013.
Mubarak, his sons and businessman Hussein Salem are also facing trial for allegedly selling natural gas to Israel below market price, Ahram Online said.
