Japanese company recalling tuna

TOKYO, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- The Japanese company Hagoromo Foods Corp. said it will recall 6.72 million cans of its Sea Chicken Mild tuna products.

The company is recalling three products that have expiration dates ranging from July 7 to Aug. 27, 2016, Kyodo News reported.

The recall announcement Friday said the products caused some consumers to experience an itching sensation in their mouths. No other symptoms were reported.

After examining its products, the company said it found histamine levels its self-imposed maximum.
