BEADE, Spain, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- An explosive device was detonated inside a town hall building in Beade, Spain, early Monday, officials said. No one was injured.
The explosion occurred about 4 a.m. local time, ThinkSpain reported.
Investigators said they believe the target of the bomb was self-professed "franquista," or supporter of the late Spanish dictator Gen. Francisco Franco.
Damage to the building is expected to be costly and will be paid for by a state-run insurance fund as it counts as an "extraordinary risk."
