Border guards injured in incident at West Bank crossing

SEBESTIA, West Bank, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Two West Bank border crossing guards were injured Saturday, neither seriously, when a car sped through a checkpoint ant hit them, officials said.

Ynetnews said the driver, who was believed to be Palestinian, approached the border crossing into the village of Sebestia in the northern West Bank on the border with Israel. After speeding up as he approached guards fired at the vehicle's tires unsuccessfully.

The car was found abandoned. The driver was not located.
