Chef charged with spying on staff, patrons in bathroom

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- The former co-owner of a Vancouver, British Columbia, restaurant has been charged with installing a hidden camera in the business' only bathroom, officials say.

Allan Bosomworth, the chef at the now-closed Two Chefs and a Table, has turned himself in to police, CBC News reported Thursday.

Vancouver police accuse Bosomworth of using the camera to record patrons and staff from the waist down. Staff also used the bathroom to change clothes.

Bosomworth is charged with secretly observing or recording nudity in a private place. If convicted, he could be jailed for as long as five years.

The restaurant closed in June.
