CAPRI, Italy, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- More cats have been reported poisoned on the resort island of Capri, south of Naples, Italy, authorities said Wednesday.
Three cats, part of a permanent colony in the historic Sant'Anna district of the island, were found dead in the past two days, adding to the growing number of reported cat deaths, the Italian news agency ANSA reported.

Posters appeared on the streets of Capri last month with the slogan: "Shame on you. We hope you're next, suffering the same agony."
A local animal-rights group, "I Migliori Amici" ("Best Friends") filed a complaint about the poisonings, demanding authorities investigate, ANSA said.
The report did not say how many cats have been poisoned in all.
