Two dead, 25 injured in Colombian school bus crash

BOGOTA, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Two Colombian high school students were killed and 25 others when injured when a school bus carrying 50 teenagers drove off a bridge, officials say.

The bus was carrying students to their homes from a high school near Bogota when it fell into a ditch under the bridge about 3 p.m. Monday, Colombia Reports said Tuesday.


Eight of the injured students were in critical condition with broken limbs and injuries to their lungs.

All the students were between the ages of 16 and 18.
