Palestinian killed in Israeli raid

JENIN, West Bank, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- A Palestinian was killed, and two Palestinians and two Israeli soldiers injured in an Israeli raid Tuesday in the West Bank, officials said.

Israeli soldiers entered the Jenin refugee camp to arrest terror suspect Basam a-Asadi, a reputed Islamic Jihad operative. A violent clash erupted as soldiers entered his home, leaving two soldiers injured, the army said.

Soldiers responded with live fire after shots were fired at them and explosive devices and rocks hurled, the army said.

Majd Mohamed Anis Lahlouh,22, was fatally shot in the heart by soldiers and two other Palestinians were injured, the Ma'an news agency said.
