Woman accused of putting glue in nephew's ears

RICHMOND, British Columbia, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- A woman in British Columbia has been charged for allegedly putting glue in her infant nephew's ears, police said.

Wei Wang was scheduled to appear in British Columbia provincial court Thursday for allegedly putting glue in her nephew's ears in February, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.

In February, the boy was brought to a Richmond hospital, crying because of glue found in and around his ears.

Several family members alleged that Wang was jealous of the baby because she had two daughters, which are valued less than sons.

Wang, 38, told police she was happy with her daughters and denied putting glue in the baby's ears.

Wang is facing charges of aggravated assault for the incident.
