JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- South African police have concluded their investigation of athlete Oscar Pistorius, accused of killing his girlfriend, a media report said Wednesday.

Pistorius, 26 -- a sprinter known as "the Blade Runner" and famous for competing on prosthetic legs -- shot and killed model Reeva Steenkamp, 29, in his Pretoria home in February. He claims he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder, but the state will argue a case of premeditated murder.
