MAIDUGURI, Nigeria, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Two weekend massacres left at least 63 people dead in Nigeria, authorities said.
The online Nigerian newspaper Daily Post reported at least 51 people were shot to death in the Konduga area and 12 more in the Ngom of Mafa area between Saturday and early Sunday.
The newspaper said a source from the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital who did not want his name used said another 26 victims were treated at the hospital.
The Post said the gunmen were suspected to have been members of Boko Haram.
The attacks occurred during Muslim prayers, the newspaper said.
