PESHAWAR, Pakistan, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- A Pakistani militant group says it is still holding the son of the country's former prime minister who was kidnapped at a political rally in May.
Al-Mansoorian Brigade said Ali Haider Gilani was "safe and sound," NBC News reported.

The identities of Gilani's abductors were previously unknown but brigade spokesman Abu Yazeed Mansoor said he "is with us."
Gilani had been attending a rally promoting his candidacy for a seat in the Punjab provincial assembly when he was kidnapped.
His father, Yousaf Raza Gilani, was prime minister for four years until Pakistan's Supreme Court forced him from office in 2012.
