CAIRO, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- A Cairo court Sunday scheduled the trial for six Muslim Brotherhood leaders accused of inciting the killing of anti-Mohamed Morsi protesters in July.
Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie, his deputy Khairat el-Shater and four others will stand trial Aug. 25, Ahram Online reported.
At least eight people died during clashes in Moqattam in front of the Muslim Brotherhood's headquarters July 1.
El-Shater was arrested July 6 and an arrest warrant for Badie was issued July 28.
Prosecutors Wednesday ordered another 15 days of detention for el-Shater, former Brotherhood supreme guide Mahdy Akef, deputy leader Rashad Bayoumi, and Freedom and Justice Party leader Saad el-Katatni pending further investigation into the protesters' killings.
