SENDAI, Japan, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- A 6.0-magnitude earthquake shook northeastern Japan's Miyagi prefecture Sunday, leaving two people injured, officials said.
The quake was centered off the coast of the prefecture at a depth of 36 miles, Kyodo News reported.

No tsunami warning was issued after the quake, which the Japan Meteorological Agency said was an aftershock of the 2011 quake that shook eastern Japan.
Two men were injured in Sendai, Miyagi prefecture's capital, the fire department there said.
Tohoku Shinkansen bullet trains were temporarily halted during the quake, but resumed operation shortly after. Parts of the Tohoku Expressway were closed to vehicle traffic for about an hour.
No damage was reported.
