Family of train derail victim files manslaughter complaint

PARIS, July 30 (UPI) -- The family of a teenager who died in the derailment of a French train in Bretigny-sur-Orge July 12 has filed a manslaughter complaint, court officials said.

The 19-year-old, among seven people who have now died in the crash, was among four people killed while standing on the platform waiting for the train, The Local.fr reported Tuesday.

The complaint was not filed against any specific person or company, but allows investigators to conduct a broad probe of the incident.

A 67-year-old who had hospitalized since the accident died Thursday, raising the death toll.

Four people are still hospitalized, police said.
