Three other people, whose names are not being released, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Police said they are questioning the four suspects.

McLoughlin was on the run for three days after Buck's stabbing death Saturday, Sky News said.

Buck was attacked as he went to help his neighbor, 87-year-old Francis Cory-Wright, a convicted pedophile, after he heard his cries for help.

A manhunt for McLoughlin ensued after the killing, Sky News said.

McLoughlin, also known as John Baker, was convicted of manslaughter in 1983 and for murder in a separate case in 1992.

He was released on parole just months ago, Sky News said.
