WARSAW, Poland, June 25 (UPI) -- Polish hospitals and other institutions were evacuated Tuesday because of hoax emails warning of bombs, officials said.

Buildings were searched but no bombs were found, Polskie Radio reported.

Interior Minister Bartlomiej Sienkiewicz told Polska Agencja Prasowa he has set up a team to find those behind the bogus warnings. He said anyone found guilty of bomb threats could be sentenced to up to eight years in prison.

"We are dealing with false alarms," he said.

The targets included several hospitals in Warsaw and the national attorney general's office. The district prosecutor's office in Krakow was also targeted along with institutions in several other cities.
