Car bomb kills four, injures 17 in Iraq

BAGHDAD, June 9 (UPI) -- Four people died and 17 were injured by a car bomb detonated near a police station Sunday in a northern Baghdad neighborhood, officials said.

"[A] Car bomb driven by a suicide bomber exploded this morning targeting [the] police center in Kadhimiya, thus resulted in killing four people and wounding 17 others," a security official told

The source, who was not identified by, said the Kadhimiya neighborhood was cordoned off by security forces while the dead and injured were taken from the scene.
