At least 20 dead in Chinese bus fire

XIAMEN, China, June 7 (UPI) -- At least 20 people were killed and 30 others were hospitalized with injuries Friday when a bus burst into flames in southeast China, officials said.

The bus was traveling on an elevated bus lane in Fujian province Friday when the fire broke out, China's official Xinhua news agency reported.

Witnesses said they heard an explosion after the fire started.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
