Bridge collapse in Canada sends train cars into river

WANUP, Ontario, June 2 (UPI) -- Police in Canada said a train trestle collapsed over the Wahnapitae River in Wanup, Ontario, Sunday, dropping train cars into the water below.

The train derailment was on Highway 537 about 15 miles south of Sudbury, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.

Several train cars carrying unknown cargo fell into the river, and police advised residents downstream of the accident not to consume the water.

Highway 537 has been closed to all traffic. No injuries were reported.
