SANTIAGO, Chile, May 20 (UPI) -- A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck off the southern coast of Chile Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
The earthquake's epicenter, a little more than 6 miles deep in the Pacific Ocean, was about 370 miles west-southwest of Puerto Quellon and 951 miles south-southwest of Santiago.

Officials said they had received no reports of casualties or property damage, CNN reported.
