The crash is still under investigation, but there were no indications of enemy activity in the area at the time of the incident, the ISAF said.

Khaama Press said the crash was likely the result of poor weather conditions or a technical problem.

The crash came after a Turkish helicopter made an emergency landing in Afghanistan's Logar province on April 18, Khaama Press said. The helicopter's nine-member crew was taken by Taliban militants.

The report did not say whether the hostages had been released.
