SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina, April 28 (UPI) -- Bosnia-Herzegovina President Zivko Budimir has been placed in custody during his corruption case because a judge said he's a flight risk.
A court spokeswoman said Budimir could also influence witnesses in the trial or destroy evidence, Tanjug news agency said.

Budimir was placed in custody for a month, officials said.
"The court concluded that the criminal acts were committed by top Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina officials and that the country and judiciary system's reputation has been violated," court spokeswoman Asja Papo said.
Budimir is accused of accepting bribes in exchange for issuing pardons.
