Fiery bus-tanker crash in southern Afghanistan kills 30, injures 10

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, April 26 (UPI) -- A fiery bus-oil tanker collision in Afghanistan's southern Kandahar province Friday killed at least 30 people and injured 10 others, officials said.

The crash on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in the Maiwand district set the bus on fire, the BBC reported.

Jawid Faisal, spokesman for the provincial governor, said there were fears the death toll could rise, Khaama Press reported.
