Rockets fired at Israel; no injuries

JERUSALEM, April 8 (UPI) -- Israeli officials said they closed the Kerem Shalom border passage with Gaza Monday after Palestinians fired three rockets toward Israel.

A rocket was fired Sunday night into southern Israel, landing in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council, The Jerusalem Post reported.

The other two rockets failed to reach Israel and landed within Gazan territory, officials said.

No injuries or damage were reported in the attacks.

The rockets were fired as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu delivered a Holocaust Remembrance Day speech at Yad Vashem, the newspaper said.

The attacks came after a flare-up in the south marked by two straight days of rocket fire last week, the Post reported.
