BAGHDAD, March 27 (UPI) -- A bomb exploded at a restaurant in southern Baghdad Wednesday, killing two and injuring seven people, police said.
Baghdad police said at least two people died and seven others were wounded when the bomb inside a restaurant was detonated, CNN reported.
In Mosul, an improvised explosive device was set off, killing one police officer and injuring another Wednesday, a security official told IraqiNews.com.
The attack targeted a police patrol in al-Maliya neighborhood in eastern Mosul, the official said.
In Kirkuk, a security source told IraqiNews.com the deputy governor survived an assassination attempt Wednesday.
The source said Rakan Saeed al-Jobouri wasn't injured when a roadside bomb exploded as his motorcade was traveling in Hawija district of southwestern Kirkuk.
