Two tourists kidnapped in Sinai

DAHAB, Egypt, March 22 (UPI) -- Two tourists -- an Israeli man and a Norwegian woman -- were kidnapped Friday by armed tribesmen in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, security officials said.

The unidentified tourists were taken as they traveled by car on the Taba-Dahab highway in the southern part of the peninsula, the BBC reported, noting security in the area has deteriorated since the overthrow of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak two years ago.
