MOSCOW, March 12 (UPI) -- Police in Moscow said they are looking for a driver who threw a 9-year-old girl off a minibus because she did not have the fare.
The girl was then left outside in freezing temperatures, The Moscow Times reported.
The mother reported the girl missing around 9 p.m. after her daughter did not return home from a music lesson, the Times said.
The girl told her parents that she finished the lesson at 4 p.m. and got on the bus but was thrown off when the driver realized she didn't have the $1.30 fare.
The girl didn't have a phone or money and said she walked for hours before sitting down at a train station.
A security guard found her at midnight.
The bus driver may face charges of knowingly leaving the girl in danger, the Times said.
