Berlusconi told to show up for questioning

ROME, March 5 (UPI) -- Italian prosecutors refused Tuesday to allow former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to postpone an interrogation session.

Berlusconi's lawyers argued he had scheduling conflicts and asked for questioning to be put off until March 15, the Italian news agency ANSA reported. But prosecutors said they found no "legitimate impediment" to the days they had selected.

Berlusconi is fighting a number of legal cases. He is currently on trial in Milan on charges of paying an underage dancer for sex, is appealing a tax fraud conviction and last week was reported under investigation for allegedly paying former Sen. Sergio de Gregorio to join his center-right coalition.

The 76-year-old media mogul was listed Monday as 194 on Forbes magazine's list of world billionaires with $6.7 billion in assets.
