The Tunisian Interior Ministry said police have arrested 375 people. Thousands have attacked at least a dozen police stations, RIA Novosti reported, citing al-Arabiya television.

Meanwhile, Belaid's supporters have erected a memorial bearing his names in the El Menzah 6 neighborhood where he was shot, Tunisia Live reported Sunday. The Tunisian flag and flowers were laid at the site.

Some supporters have suggested the street where he was shot should be renamed in his honor.
