ALDAVILLE, Australia, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- An Australian man was charged with attempted murder after allegedly firing an arrow through a window at an elderly man's grandson, court records showed.

The accused, aged 46, attacked the grandfather in a rural home at Aldaville on New South Wales' mid-north coast until the grandson, 42, restrained the attacker and forced him out of the house, the Australian Broadcasting Corp. reported Sunday.

As the grandson went around inside the house locking doors and windows, the attacker fired an arrow through a window the grandson was trying to close. The arrow narrowly missed the grandson, the ABC reported.

The attacker was arrested and charged with attempted murder. He was refused bond and is due to appear in court, the ABC reported.
