JAKARTA, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Some 103,000 people have been flooded out of their homes in Jakarta, the provincial governor said Monday.
Authorities say flooding in Jakarta and the surrounding area has killed 27 people, Antara news agency reported.

The number of those affected by the floods has risen quickly. Gov. Joko Widodo said 91,000 people were reported as victims Saturday.
More than 250 command posts have been set up in the region to help victims and to distribute aid.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono Sunday said the central government is planning to set aside about $2.1 million to improve the situation in Jakarta.
