Officer kills peer disguised in snow mask

ARTVIN PROVINCE, Turkey, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- A Turkish policeman opened fire on disguised colleagues, thinking they were intruders, killing one policeman and wounding two others, officials said Wednesday.

Yasin Basoglu was arrested after the incident in which the three officers, planning a prank on Basoglu, arrived at his doorstep wearing snow masks, Hurriyet Daily News reported.

Basoglu was on duty in Turkey's Black Sea coast province of Artvin, the newspaper reported.
