The local security chief said an investigation was under way to determine the reason for the crash.

Also Wednesday, Afghan and coalition security forces arrested a local Haqqani leader in Khost province, the ISAF said. Coalition forces said the captured leader was in charge of acquiring and distributing weapons and ammunition to insurgents operating in the province.
