Chinese hostages released in Colombia

LOS POZOS, Colombia, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Colombian guerrilla group FARC has released three Chinese hostages and a translator who were kidnapped last year, local media reported.

The Chinese citizens -- engineers Zhau Hong, Yang Jing, Tang Guo Fu and their Colombian translator -- were delivered Wednesday to the Red Cross in Los Pozos, Colombia Reports said.

They were working for Emerald Energy when they were kidnapped June 8, 2011, as they traveled by car in the town of San Vicente del Caguan, a hotspot for FARC guerrillas.

FARC demanded $3 million the following month for the release of the hostages.
