"An [ISAF] service member died as a result of a non-battle-related injury in southern Afghanistan today," the NATO-led force said in a statement. "It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities."
About 348 NATO soldiers -- mostly U.S. troops -- have been killed in Afghanistan in various incidents since the start of 2012, officials said.
